District Akhil Bharatiya Tailik Sahu Mahasabha executives take oath

Youth urged to lead community

Jamshedpur, Feb 9: The newly elected office bearers of the East Singhbhum district unit of Akhil Bharatiya Tailik Sahu Mahasabha today formally took oath of office and pledged to work unitedly for the socio-economic and educational development of the Tailik Sahu community.

Respected and elderly members of the Tailik Sahu community who were all present during the oath taking ceremony held at the Community Building at Pritam Park in Patel Nagar on Slag Road near DAV School, jointly garlanded the portraits of philanthropist Bhama Shah, Ma Karma and late Tileshwar Sahu and then lighted the traditional lamp to inaugurate the oath taking ceremony.

The newly elected office bearers president Rakesh Sahu, general secretary Manoj Gupta and treasurer Suresh Kumar were administered the oath by Ramballabh Sahu, Rajkishore Prasad and Arun Sahu respectively. They all pledged to take the community forward by working together collectively.

Speakers on the occasion urged all community members to take the Tailik Sahu community forward in the realms of education, social and political fronts citing that it was lagging behind on these fronts. They said that the community never tried to pull strings neither did it try to disturb the progress of others. They exhorted the community youth force and come forward and lead the community forward on all fronts. The speakers were critical about whichever government was in power intended to victimize businessmen of the Tailik Sahu community.

Speaking on the occasion, the newly elected president of the district body of ABTSM Rakesh Sahu stressed on the education of women and girls of the Tailik Sahu community as their education would boost the social development of the community.

The programme was anchored by Sanjay Sah. Among those present at the oath taking ceremony were Ashok Sahu, Chandrika Prasad, Videshi Sahu, Balram Prasad, Dr Rishikesh Sah, Anita Devi, Rekha Devi, Rajkishore Gupta, Lankesh Sahu, Rajesh Kumar, Kundan Prasad, Pappu Sao, Krishna Kumar, Sudama Sao, Ranjit Gupta, Bhola Prasad, Shiv Lochan Sah, Vijay Sah, Pintu Kumar, Bachchu Gupta and Sunil Prasad.
