Jamshedpur, Feb 5: A review meeting of various development and welfare projects was held at Jamshedpur Collectorate on Tuesday. It was presided over by the Deputy Development Commissioner of East Singhbhum, B Maheshwari who sought suggestions on ways to ensure maximum utilization of Central government funds.
Representatives of New Delhi-based organization, Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability, and Tata Trust were present on this occasion. A presentation was given by the outfit representatives before the DDC.
The main focus of the meeting was to find out effective ways to ensure optimization of funds allotted for the various projects being implemented in the district and get better results.
The projects discussed at the meeting included Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), SBM G, NRDWP, NRHM, SSA, MDM, NSAP, ICDS and PMFBY. It was decided to analyse few case studies to find out better ways of spending Central government funds.
Those present at the meeting included Dr Purnima Dore, Head, Data Trusted Governance, Joshua Mathias of Tata Trusts, Subrat Das, Executive Director CBGA, Nilachala Acharya, Project Director, CBGA and Shweta Tiwary of CBGA, East Singhbhum.
