Displaced villagers stage dharna at Adhunik

Jamshedpur, Feb 8: Displaced villagers staged a demonstration at Adhunik Power Plant in Padampur village of Kandra in Seraikela-Kharsawan district on Monday which led to blocking of the company gate.
Krishna Baskey who was leading the displaced villagers alleged that villagers of nearly dozen villages had parted with their land for Adhunik Power Plant and were assured of employment and adequate compensation by the management but neither the villagers have been given compensation or job. On several occasions company management has been given memorandum by the irate villagers but they have only preferred to give verbal assurances without taking any concrete step in this direction.
The villagers threatened that even after this agitation if the company management does not relents then they would be forced to stage a strong movement against the company in the future.
