Jamshedpur, October 20: Discontent has surfaced within the BJP after Purnima Das Sahu, daughter-in-law of former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, was given the party ticket for the Jamshedpur East Assembly seat. A viral letter from BJP national general secretary Arun Singh, which lists three other suggested candidates, Abhay Singh, Amarpreet Singh Kale, and Shiv Shankar Singh, has further fueled the unrest. The letter, bearing Arun Singh’s signature and the party’s official seal has gone viral. The Avenue Mail could not verify the authenticity of the letter.
Many party workers were reportedly upset because these three leaders were overlooked in favor of Purnima Das. In response, Abhay Singh met senior BJP leaders, while Purnima Das has reached out to key figures, including Rambabu Tiwari and Mithilesh Yadav, to gather support and ensure unity for the upcoming election.
Despite internal opposition, Purnima is actively seeking cooperation and blessings from party members, aiming to unite the party ahead of the election.
