Jamshedpur, Feb. 12: Dipti Kumari of Jharkhand continued her form on the second day of the 38th Junior National Archery Championship to crown overall champion by scoring 6 points in the Indian round (Girls).
Kelmit Lepcha of Chhattisgarh was second while Kshitija Dhudhe of Maharashtra was third. Gora Ho of Jharkhand with 7 set point was overall champion in the Indian round (Boys) followed by Surya Paleya of Orissa and Gaurav Lambe of Maharashtra.
In the Indian round Mixed team champion Bharat Kumar Yadav and Kelmit Lepcha of Chhattisgarh with 5 set points were crowned the champion followed by Gora HO and Kainath Mahato of Jharkhand and Johnson Singh and Pouhoimeiru Golmei of Manipur.
In Indian round Girls team championship Kavita, Preeti, Meena and Jyoti of Haryana were the winners with 7 set points followed by Dipti Kumari, Anita Kumari, Sony Kumari and Simpy Kumari of Jharkhand while West Bengal team ended in the third spot.
In the Indian round boys team championship Chhattisgarh team was winner followed by SSCB and Jharkhand. Tata Steel in association with Steel Plant Sports Board, Jharkhand Archery Association and Dept. of Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt. of Jharkhand is organising the 38th Junior National Archery Championship 2015-16 at JRD Tata Sports Complex from 11th to 18th February 2016.
26 States and Units are participating in the championship. Over 200 archers are participating in the Indian Rounds. The medals were presented by senior manager Bagicha Singh.
