Ranchi: Former state BJP president Dr Dineshanand Goswami met Chief Minister Raghubar Das in Ranchi on Thursday and drew his attention to a host of problems pertaining to civic amenities being faced by the local residents. He also handed a petition to the CM, seeking early resolution of the issues which mainly relate to health, irrigation and education.
Goswami said the state government should provide lift irrigation facility to the farmers of Baharagora, Chakulia and Gudabanda inhabiting the banks of Swarnarekha river. He said lift irrigation facility may help the farmers water thousands of hectares of land.
Goswami said the villagers of around 60 villages in and around Sunderpur village of Chakulia and Domjuri under Baharagora block urgently need lift irrigation facility for year-long farming. This would also result in doubling of farmers� income, he said.
