Jamshedpur, July 17: District BJP president Dinesh Kumar in separate meetings with BJP executives and former district chiefs reviewed the membership drive in various Mahanagar and district units of the party after 10 days of its launch.
Kumar expressed satisfaction with the progress of the drive but directed members to pack more punch into their efforts. District membership drive in-charge Khemlal Chowdhary asked all executives to knock on every door and ensure primary membership of at least two members from each household. Former BJP district presidents and current district executive members were directed to pay special heed to those booths where polling during the Lok Sabha elections was not up to expectations by improving and strengthening these sensitive units.
BJP district president Dinesh Kumar asked his predecessors and executive members to launch door to door campaigns in all units and make the people affable and more understanding towards the party�s work and projects to make them realize the importance of retaining the party in power during the ensuing Vidhan Sabha elections.
Those present during the meeting of former district presidents were Devendra Singh, Rambabu Tiwary, Vinod Singh, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Raj Kumar Srivastav and Nandji Prasad.
Earlier a meeting was held with the executive members of the party�s district committee that included Dinesh Kumar, Khemlal Chowdhary, Satya Prakash Singh, Rakesh Singh, Vimal Kant Jha, Pushpa Tirkey, Sunil Bari, Dipak Parikh and Vikram Chandrakar. Office in-charge Paresh Mukhi was felicitated during this meeting on the occasion of his being elected president of Bhalubasa Mukhi Samaj.
