Digital India movement to reach every village: Raghubar Das

Ranchi, July 1: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday said that Jharkhand has sped up her Endeavour to strengthen Pragya- Kendras and lead Digital India movement to every village.

A Digital Jharkhand will contribute in the making of Digital India. He said that e-villages should be developed to minimize the distance between village and town. Das was addressing the gathering during the inaugural occasion of Digital India week Program in the newly built conference room at Project Building.

Praising the Digital India ideology of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that when globalization and liberalization started in 1991, it was said that the potential of employment will not last for long in the industrial sector.

That time also the sector was booming high. He expressed his pleasure on the Prime Minister�s endeavor in realizing the importance of IT sector and a new era is evolving out of it.

He said that Jharkhand Govt. has done remarkable work in the IT sector in the last six months. From the very beginning, the government endeavours to give the people good governance and transparent administration.

The Chief Minister said that the Govt. has allotted 52 acres to build triple IT and 10 acres for E-Dac. Apart from this, five acres land has been pointed out for e-governance academy.

Along with it, the Govt.has given 202 acres to construct IT Park. He said that the Govt. is working to attract investment in IT and tender has been published to select the right agency. The govt. endeavors to open TCS Branch in Jharkhand. Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry has been contacted to work in this direction.

Mr. Das said that thirty types of services will be launched within three months under Right to Service Act and online mutation will start in whole Jharkhand by 15 of November.

Now – a- days, online mutation is functioning in thirty eight blocks in the state. Referring to Kiran Kumari�s facilitation by Hon�ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the Digital India Program held in New Delhi, Shri Das said that it shows Jharkhand has got digital power.

By now, 45 thousand Digi Lockers have been open in Jharkhand and the govt. seeks to open one lakh lockers during Digital India Week.

The Urban Development Minister Shri C.P Singh said that it is a matter of pride for the whole Jharkhand that the girl who bagged the first prize is from Jharkhand.

Moreover, Mr. R.S Sharma, who is pioneering and looking after the Digital India Program is also from Jharkhand Cadre. In the program, the CM facilitated 25 coordinators of Pragya-Kendra.

In the program, Development Commissioner Mr.R.S. Poddar, Principal Secretary, Water Resource Department.Mr. Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary to the CM, Mr.Sanjay Kumar, Secrtatry to the CM, Mr.Sunil Kumar Burnwal, C.E.O of JAP-IT Mr.K.K Sinha, IT Director Mr.Umesh Prasad Shah ,and Secretary of different departments were present .
