DIG leads security drill, Jamshedpur Police ready for peaceful Ram Navami

Jamshedpur, March 26: In view of the upcoming festivals and processions, the police administration has gone into high alert mode to ensure robust security arrangements across the city.


STF DIG Indrajit arrived in Jamshedpur on Thursday and held a comprehensive review meeting with senior police officials to assess the law and order situation.
The meeting was attended by the Senior SSP, City SP, Rural SP, and other key officials.
The DIG emphasized that maintaining peace, communal harmony, and public safety during the festive period must remain the top priority. He issued clear directives to intensify surveillance in sensitive areas, increase patrolling, and keep strict vigil on anti-social elements.


Following the review, the DIG, along with officials, inspected the designated routes for flag processions and assessed vulnerable points. He instructed that adequate police deployment be ensured along all routes, supported by real-time monitoring through CCTV cameras and drone surveillance.
Moreover, Quick Response Teams (QRTs) have been directed to remain on standby to effectively handle any emergency situation. The police administration has also appealed to citizens to uphold communal harmony and refrain from paying heed to rumors, ensuring that the festivities conclude peacefully and without disruption.
