DGP Rajeev Kumar reviews security for polls

Seraikela, Nov 27: Ahead of the second phase of poll slate for December 2, Director General of Police DGP Rajeev Kumar held a meeting in Seraikela with the administration, police and CRPF officials on Thursday.

The meeting focused on the security ahead of the polls in the naxal affected region and to carry out the procedure with transparency and in fear free environment.

DGP Kumar said that according to the need the police and security officials have been pressed into service ahead of the poll.

In order to tackle any emergency situation six helicopters will be present at the preferred place and if required air ambulance will also be made available.

DGP further said that the security personnel are ready to tackle any situation and the security id full proof.

At the meeting IG Anurag Gupta and MS Bhatia, DIG Md. Nehal, CRPF 196 commandant Satish Dubey, DC cum returning officer of district Chandra Sekhar, SP Durga Oraon and other officials were present.
