Gamharia, Aug 24: A determined drive has been launched by the forest department to rid the forest territory of encroachers. For long, trees in the forest zones were being felled and houses constructed in those spots. Forester Pramod Kumar Singh led a drive on Sunday, August 23 in the Hatiyadih forest belt and demolished five houses under construction with a bulldozer. Forester Singh said that the forest land behind XIT College was protected from the hands of the encroachers in which forest workers and local youth played a big role. Today�s exercise led by Singh included Devendra Tudu, Subroto Majumdar, Khudiram Mahto, Dhananjay Hansda, Duham Panda, Sunil Kumar Mahto, Sita Soren and others.
