Jamshedpur: A delegation comprising deputy Mukhiyas of various panchayats met the deputy commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum, Amit Kumar, and demanded arresting of the Mukhiya of Bagbera Colony panchayat, Bahamuni Hembram, and his supporters, in connection with a case lodged against the accused persons with the Bagbera PS.
Handing the DC a memorandum, the deputy Mukhiyas alleged that certain Mukhiyas were involved in corrupt practices and that they were trying to demoralize the deputy Mukhiyas by threatening to implicate them on the basis of fabricated charges.
The deputy Mukhiyas also met the deputy development commissioner (DDC) Suraj Kumar, district Panchayati Raj Officer and block development officer. The delegation members included Satbir Singh, Reena Mandal, Birju Patro, Bablu Karua, Abhishek Das and Sunil Gupta.
