Jamshedpur: The deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Dr Amitabh Kaushal today appealed to all citizens and various organizations to send their monetary donations to the Prime Minister�s Relief Fund directly for the help of Jammu and Kashmir flood victims.
He said the funds collected for the help of flood victims should not be deposited with the district administration as no directive had been issued in this regard either by the state government or the Central government.
He said the district administration had not been authorized by the government to collect the donation amounts for the flood victims. He said there were 28 national and private banks where the funds could be deposited in favour of Prime Minister�s Relief Fund.
Many administration officials attended today�s meeting. They included SSP Amol V Homkar, DDC Dr Lal Mohan Mahato, SP (city) Karthik S, SDO of Dhalbhum Prem Ranjan.
Among others present at the meeting included Dhananjay Mishra, Nirmal Kumar Singh, Rajesh Rajan, HS Usmani, Avinash Kumar, RN Prasad, Suresh Sonthalia, Vijay Khan and Vinod Kumar Arora.
