DEO warns of action against absenting Jamshedpur schools 

Jamshedpur, June 13: Showcause notices were issued to 36 permissioned schools in the district for not attending the review meeting called by the District Education Officer (DEO) office.

Also, all these schools were asked to respond to the showcause within 24 hours. Despite this, till now only one school has responded to the show cause.

In this regard, DEO Nirmala Kumari Barelia said that if any representative of the school management or headmaster has gone out due to summer vacation, then at least the clerk will be here. He should have been sent to represent in the meeting.

DEO  said that the response of other schools is also coming through other WhatsApp messages. The reply of the school is awaited till June 15. After that action will be taken.

It may be noted that on June 6, a review meeting was held with the representatives of these schools by the DEO office. In this, along with the evaluation of board exam results, information was taken from the schools on many common points.

On behalf of the department, all the schools granted establishment permission were asked to participate in this meeting. Despite this, 36 schools did not attend the meeting. Considering this as a violation of the departmental order, the department had issued a notice.

This meeting was called on the orders of the Directorate of Secondary Education, in which the matriculation examination results of the schools were to be evaluated and its report was to be sent to the Directorate. Due to absence of representatives of more than half the schools in the meeting, the report sought by the directorate could not be prepared.
