DEO inaugurates science lab and library in Potka school

Potka: A science laboratory and a library wee inaugurated at Vidya Bharati English School, Hata, in Juri Panchayat of Potka here on Monday. The chief guest of the occasion was the district education officer (DEO) Rajkumar Singh.

He inspected the school and addressed the students. He said the school was providing quality education to rural children. Despite being situated in rural area, the school is offering education on the lines of city schools.

At present there are more than 1000 children studying at the school, said the school authorities, adding that the school had got CBSE affiliation. In the coming days, more students are likely to study here.

The DEO praised the school management committee members for their dedication and the spirit to serve the rural masses by educating their children in the best possible manner. He assured to extend every possible support to the school by the district education department.

The school principal S Azad said the school had got NOC for offering education to children under the CBSE pattern. He thanked the education department officials for their support.

Among those present on the occasion included Dr Shankar Sharma, Subrat Kumar Dey, Gunadhar Dey, Krishna Gope, Anirudh Gope, Narayan Chatterjee, Shakti Shekhar Rajak, SS Gope, Doli Yogi, Pratima Guha and Udit Mahato.
