Tata Steel UISL takes significant dengue prevention initiatives
Jamshedpur, Aug 11: The Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (TSUISL) has undertaken an extensive range of dengue prevention activities in Jamshedpur.
These initiatives have been implemented across six zones, namely Ramdas Bhatta, Sonari, CPHO, Kashidih, Burmamines and Baridih, including the Bagan area.
Over the last few years, TSUISL has made remarkable progress in dengue prevention. Till date in this financial year, 252,463 house searches have already been conducted.

The destruction of indoor and outdoor breeding sites has also been a priority for TSUISL. As of the latest data for 2023 (till July), total of 19,126 mosquitos indoor breeding sites have been eliminated.
6,651 indoor breeding sites and 12,475 outdoor breeding sites have been eliminated.
In addition to house searches and breeding site destruction, TSUISL has actively conducted door-to-door health talks, reaching out to the community, and spreading awareness. As of the latest data for 2023 (till July), 201,970 health talks have already been conducted.
TSUISL has also utilized various communication channels to spread awareness, including IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) through vehicles. This initiative has been running daily from April 2023. Additionally, IEC through FM has been implemented since June 2023.
School awareness programs have also been integral to TSUISL’s dengue prevention initiatives -20 programs have already been conducted across all six zones.
