Gamharia: A large number of women staged a dharna before the Gamharia police station on Thursday to protest the sale of illicit liquor in the various villages of Jaikan panchayat.
They alleged that many families had been ruined due to the growing business of illicit liquor in the panchayat area. They said the local police officials took no notice of the situation.
The women said they will drive out each and every person related to the illicit liquor directly or indirectly from their villages since the police had turned a deaf ear to their complaints.
