Jamshedpur: State Congress president Dr Ajoy Kumar on Thursday called on Heman Soren, former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition, and congratulated him on JMM’s win in Gomia and Silli assembly by-polls. He also met the newly-elected MLAs Seema Mahato and Amit Mahato and felicitated them.
Kumar said the JMM’s victory was the victory of democracy. He said the BJP had suffered defeat due to its overconfidence. The results of the byelections foretell the future of BJP in 2019, said Kumar.
The former MP said the people were disenchanted with the BJP and its ‘politics of hatred’. He said the grand alliance of Opposition parties was sure to win the 2019 elections with a landslide margin. He said Hemant Soren will form the next state government in Jharkhand. The 14 Lok Sabha seats of the state would be won by UPA candidates, he said.
