Demanding ownership right, residents to visit Ranchi on Feb. 6

Jamshedpur, Jan. 31: Jharkhand Saman Adhikar Manch (JSAM), an anti-domicile organisation, demanding ownership will launch massive protest and take out a torch light procession from Baridih Durga Puja ground which will traverse through Sidhgora, Agrico, Bhalubasa, Kasidih and conclude at Aam Bagan Maindan in Sakchi on Saturday, February 4, said Yogendra Sharma cum Munna Sharma, convener of the manch.

Sharma informed that more than 2000 people from various bustis will be part of the procession. On Monday, February 6, Jamshedpur residents in large number will visit Ranchi and would meet chief minister Raghubar Das demanding ownership of their house and also submit a memorandum to CM.

Sharma added that people of the bustis will ask the chief minister as to when would they get the ownership as BJP is in full majority both in the state and the centre.

Talking to the media persons on Tuesday, Yogendra Sharma said, it’s very sad and equally surprising that the ownership issue is pending for the last 22 years (since the year 1995). Raghubar Das who raised the issue over two decades back has become the chief minister from MLA.

Sharma further informed that on 28 August 2005, large crowd was drawn at Agrico Ground in the name of ownership, celebration was held for giving Tata lease but the ownership issue has remained as it is.

Also present at the press meet was Balvinder Singh, Kanjul Lakda, Munna Bhatt, Goutam Ghosh, Jobarani Basken, Lal Babu Singh, Manoj Anand, Sanjay Singh Mintu, Chandrakant Dubey, Sanjay Singh, Saroj Kumar, Prakash Jha, Bhagat Singh and others were present.
