Jamshedpur, Oct 14: Following the passing of Padma Vibhushan and former Tata Sons Chairman Ratan Naval Tata, there is a growing demand to erect the world’s largest statue of him in Jamshedpur. The call for this tribute has gained momentum, with local MLA Saryu Roy previously urging Chief Minister Hemant Soren to name a bridge over the Subarnarekha River after Tata.

Prominent Jharkhand-Bihar singer Ajit Aman has voiced strong support for this initiative, stating that artists from the region have written to both Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, advocating for the statue’s installation. Aman emphasized that Ratan Tata was more than just a businessman; his life story serves as an inspiration to many.

He highlighted Tata’s dedication to humanitarian efforts, mentioning his establishment of hospitals for cancer patients and the provision of oxygen supplies across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, Aman pointed out that Tata made the Tata Main Hospital accessible for free, showcasing his commitment to serving humanity.

Additionally, Aman praised Tata’s love for the environment and animals, suggesting that he deserves the Bharat Ratna award. Aman has previously released three songs in honour of Tata, with a fourth set to debut on his birth anniversary.
