Ghatshila, October 20: A meeting of District Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) was held under the chairpersonship DRM Kharagpur Railway Division Auditorium on Friday.
DRUCC member from Ghatshila, Fakir Chand Aggarwal attended the meeting. In the meeting, demand was made for stoppage of various trains at Ghatshila, Chakulia and Rakha Mines stations. Aggarwal also proposed installation of electric coach indicators on Ghatshila platform, opening inquiry center at the station, providing stoppage of Samaleshwari Express, Geetanjali Express and Vande Bharat train at Ghatshila.
There was also demand for construction of a foot overbridge near Gopalpur overbridge.
The DRM said that under Amrit Bharat, approval has been given for the coach indicator board at Ghatshila station. Its work will start soon.
He also said that a proposal for stoppage of Samaleswari train and Vande Bharat Train at Ghatshila will be sent to the headquarters.
