Jamshedpur: Members of Visthapan Virodhi Ekta Manch today met the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Dr Amitabh Kaushal and demanded cancellation of the MoUs signed by the state government with various companies including Bhushan Steel and Power Company in Potka and Jindal Steel Company in Asabani immediately.
They said the said companies could not set up their plants within the fixed time frame due to the protest of villagers and failure to get permission of the Gram Sabha.
