JVM’s Adivasi Mahasammelan pulls huge crowd
Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi today said the politicians of several national as well as regional parties sitting in New Delhi were robbing the people of the state of their hard earned money. He said the sand contracts allotted by the Jharkhand government should be cancelled.
Marandi said the contracts for lifting sands should be awarded to the Gram Sabha which owned the sands. He said the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and All Jharkhand Students Union leaders were aiding the ‘Delhi leaders’ in their loot attempts.
Marandi made the observation during the party’s Adivasi Mahasammelan programme organized at the Circus ground in Ghatsila on Sunday. A large number of people comprising local villagers, party leaders, supporters and activists had gathered to witness the convocation.
In his address, Marandi further said that the Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was fooling the people of the state. He said the tall claims and announcements being made by Soren were neither realistic nor worthy of the people’s faith. He said the people were aware enough to make a clear distinction between opportunistic politicians and true leaders of the people.
Marandi said the party was going to field candidates on all 14 Lok Sabha and 81 Assembly seats and secure a landslide victory.
Many party leaders were present during the programme. They included the MP of Jamshedpur Dr Ajay Kumar, central secretary Abhay Singh, Pradip Yadav, Joba Majhi, Mangal Singh Bobanga, Dulal Bhuiyan, Naresh Murmu, Khelaram Besra, Kanhu Murmu and Sudeshwar Munda.
The party leaders said the party was going to organize such convocations for the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, minorities, women and youth members and supporters of the party.
