Jamshedpur: The number of seats on which Tata Workers Union by-poll would be conducted will become clear in a meeting proposed to be held on 25th May. The union leaders and election conduct committee are waiting for the meeting.
Sources said at present there are 10 vacant seats in the union. One of the committee members, Ashok Kumar, has vacated his position as his son has got his job. If Kumar resigns from his old constituency area, the by-poll would be held on 11 seats, or else it will be held on 10 seats.
The union president R Ravi Prasad held the maiden meeting with the election conduct committee here on Tuesday morning. The participants discussed the strategy for conducting the election in a smooth manner.
This is the first time when by-election would be held on so many seats together.
Among those present in today�s meeting included Manoranjan Tiwary, Shashank Manzar, VN Singh and AK Gupta.
