Debarati, Rashmi steal the show as Odyssey 2014 comes to a close

Jamshedpur, August 24: The three-day cultural extravaganza Odyssey 2014 organized by Little Flower School concluded amid fanfare on Sunday. Top three students from each event walked away with prizes.

All together 47 events were orgainsed and enthusiastic children willingly taking part in it is rising with every passing year. More than 300 students participated in the model display event itself.

The fest saw students coming in decent casuals and participating voraciously in a number of events. While there was solo performances of dance and songs there were group performances like choreography and band also.

Quizzes regarding science, general knowledge, information technology and so on and so forth were efficiently conducted by the council members. Antakshari was also masterminded by the council members.

The last of the show on Saturday prizes were given to the children who had bagged a position within the top three. Ranjit Dhar, the deputy general manager of Tata Motors� administrative and safety department, was present as the chief guest and awarded the winners.

After patiently distributing the numerous awards he applauded Odyssey for bringing out the talents of the children. In his message to the students he has encouraged them to take part in such events and besides congratulating the winners he has also told the participants not to lose heart even if they were unable to secure any position.

LFS Principal while addressing said �success is about having money and fame but excellence is being the best you can be. Be excellent and keep up the spirit of odyssey.�

Individual championship Trophy in the Junior category went to Debarati Pal of Class 7B while Rashmi Singh of Class 10 B bagged the awarded in the Senior Category.

Class Championship Trophy in the Junior category went to Class 7B while Class 9C walked away with the trophy in the Senior Category.

It may be noted that the annual fest of Odyssey started in the year 1991 under the watchful guidance of now Vice�Principal of the school Mrs. N Samuel. For the past 24 years it has been carefully moulded by the moderators initially Mrs. Mishra and now Mrs.Chatrath to help it take it�s present form.

In its nascent stages odyssey had only 7 events in it but now it boasts of organizing 47 events.
