Dead body recovered in Bara Gamharia Basti

Gamharia, Aug 16: Police have recovered the body of a person identified as Chhotu Lohar (45) from the vicinity of Basic School located in Bara Gamharia Basti under Adityapur police station. The Adityapur police, on being informed, reached the spot and taking the body under possession, sent it for autopsy to Saraikela Sadar Hospital.

According to reports, the deceased was a rickshaw puller. According to the deceased’s son, he had gone for his duty on Monday night and when he returned home on Tuesday morning, his mother told him that his father had gone out on Monday evening and had not returned since. While looking for his father on Tuesday morning, he learnt that a body had been found and it was at the Gamharia Hospital. On reaching the Hospital, the family members identified the body was that of Chhotu Lohar.

The Adityapur police took possession of the body and sent it to Saraikela Sadar Hospital for postmortem. His son said that his father, Chhotu Lohar was an alcoholic.  The deceased’s son further stated that his father did not have any enmity. He said that on Monday evening, two persons had visited their house seeking rental accommodation. He said that his father went out with them in the evening and did not return home. The police were reportedly investigating the case.
