Jamshedpur, Sep 3: The bodies of couple Jaidev Mahto (20) and minor Shyamali Gorai (17) of Lavjoda village under Bodam police station area of East Singhbhum district were found hanging from a tree on Friday morning. The bodies of both were hanging on the tree and soon the villagers informed the police. The police have taken the body in possession and sent it for postmortem.
A suicide note was found from the spot, in which it is written that both of them had committed suicide. However, the police are investigating whether both the suicide notes are written or not. The villagers also suspect it to be a case of murder.
Police are probing the whole incident. On this issue, Bodam police station in-charge Shankar Lakra said that both of them have committed suicide by hanging in a love affair. Both were residents of Lavjoda village. The reason for his suicide is being ascertained.
