Jamshedpur, Nov 8: Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) B Maheshwari and ADC Sourabh Kumar Sinha convened a meeting of cable operators, representatives of cinemas and FM radio channels and telecom service providers to discuss preparations for the state Assembly elections. He appealed to all participants to strictly adhere to Model Code of Conduct and the instructions of Election Commission of India regarding publication of publicity material for candidates. Getting MCMC certification prior to publication is must for all printers and advertisers, he said.
DPRO Rohit Kumar said all telecom service providers should also apply for pre-certification by MCMC before sending bulk SMSes and voice messages.
