Seraikela: Seraikela-Kharsawan Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan visited several panchayats of Kharsawan block on Wednesday and reviewed health and education facilities available to villagers. He also visited the health centre, anganbari centre and schools in the block.
On reaching Adarsh Middle School, Kharsawan, the DC turned a teacher and gave maths and geography lessons to the students. He also asked the students few questions to test their academic progress.
Later, the DC sought updates on Gyan Setu and Vidya Vahini schemes. He said the attendance of students has to be registered through biometric system every day. He also sought a report on the distribution of cards under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. He was told that 19,000 cards have been distributed in Kharsawan so far.
The DC visited Raidih, Hurangda, Haribhanja, Visaigora and Shimla.
