DC visits Kestrapal village of Potka, discusses local issues

Assures basic civic amenities and skill training to women

Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar visited Kestrapal village of Potka on Wednesday and discussed local issues pertaining to basic civic amenities and government schemes.

The DC said the district administration was committed to resolving the problems being faced by the villagers. He said the drinking water issue would be sorted out soon as funds would be provided for it shortly. He said the local administration officials had been asked to hold special camps to provide pension and benefits of different schemes to the villagers. He said a team of experts would be sent to the village to improve irrigation facility.

Kumar said the district administration would be sending teams of officials on a regular basis to resolve the issues cropping up from time to time in the village. He said the villagers were well aware of their rights and benefits of government schemes.

The villagers apprised the DC of their problems pertaining to drinking water, pension, electricity supply, street light, PMAY, irrigation, health, education and employment.

The DC asked the officials concerned to improve lift irrigation facility in the village He also ordered renovation of the Bankabandh pond. He said skill training would be given to the local women through self help groups very soon.
