Jamshedpur: District administration has issued show-cause notice to three officials of East Singhbhum for putting up a poor performance in issuing Kisan Credit Cards to farmers. Those having received the notice, district agriculture officer Kalipado Mahato, cooperative officer Krishna Bhagat and Lead Bank Manager Falguni Roy, have been asked to reply to the show-cause notice as early as possible.
Sources said the deputy commissioner (DC) Amit Kumar issued the notice after reviewing the performance of various departments concerned in issuing KCCs to farmers. The DC said the three officials were directed to ensure coordination among themselves, but no positive result was seen.
The DC held a review of all departments at the Zila Parishad auditorium and sought progress report on the targets set for them by Jharkhand Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma last month. The CS is about to hold a review of the departments on 8th July. Hence the officials of all departments have been asked to submit their report by 7th July without fail.
The DC also took to task the newly-appointed networking managers of the district. He said the managers had uploaded the BHIM app in only 1300 mobile phones. He said the targets set for the managers were far from the figures achieved by them. The managers have been asked to upload the BHIM app on the mobile phones of Krishak Mitra, Matsya Mitra and para teachers among others.
Among those present at the meeting included ITDA Project director Vishwanath Maheshwari, ADC Sunil Kumar, district land acquisition officer Akhilesh Sinha, civil surgeon Dr SK Jha, district education officer Rajkumar Prasad Singh and district superintendent of education Banke Bihari Singh.
