Saraikela, Jan 29: Deputy Commissioner Iqbal Alam Ansari made a Block-wise review of various government schemes launched in the district and gave necessary directives towards attainment of targets. He reviewed the status of PM Awas Yojna, Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Awas Yojna for the fiscals 2016-’19, 2019-’20 and 2020-’21 against which houses had been constructed and those that remained in stages of incompletion. He directed officials to complete the targets set for completion of each project and to ensure timely payment to workers.
Iqbal Alam Ansari asked all BDOs to ensure completion of houses that were in the finishing stages by March 2021 and to mark out those that were left incomplete by organizing Gram Sabhas and present reports in accordance against which action could be taken as per norms.
The DC also directed the DDC to institute measures through which construction of incomplete houses under both government schemes could be speeded up and asked him to provide a report in the next meeting.
Anil Dungdung, the Didi Bari project officer informed in the review meeting that 2,000 seed kits had already been provided to the beneficiaries of the scheme and the rest would be supplied shortly. The DC stated that the Didi Bari project should be developed as a model scheme so that other beneficiaries could take inspiration from it.
Those present in the meeting included DDC Pravin Kumar Gagrai, Saraikela SDO Ramkrishna Kumar, Panchayat Raj Officer Dhanvir Lakra and all BDOs of the district.
