Jamshedpur, June 20: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar convened a meeting to review Moharda and Jemco water supply projects on Thursday.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the pace of said projects, Kumar said work should be expedited to make sure the projects are completed within the deadline fixed for them. He said a 70 km long pipeline was to be laid by May 2019, but only 40 km pipeline was laid by Jusco.
Kumar further said that Jusco had provided connections to 2700 households. He said the remaining pipeline laying work should be completed by September this year. He also ordered repair of roads damaged during the pipeline laying work.
The DC directed the special officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) to work in coordination with Jusco officials to provide maximum water connections under Moharda water supply project.
Kumar also held a meeting with Jusco and electricity department officials. He said the state government aims to provide better civic amenities to all citizens.
