DC reviews implementation of 14th Finance Commission projects

Jamshedpur, May 31: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar convened a meeting to review the implementation of various projects funded by the 14th Finance Commission. He reviewed solar energy-based water supply project, paver block-based road construction project and LED light installation project. He said the three projects should be started in all 231 panchayats. The successful implementation of these projects would change the face of villages benefitting under them, he said.

Kumar said the said projects should be implemented on a priority basis. He said those women have name in ration cards may get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. A decision in this regard has been taken by the government of Jharkhand, he said.

Kumar said the names of deceased pensioners should be removed from the list of beneficiaries and new names should be added. He also ordered timely completion of pending Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana projects.

Acting on a grievance, the DC said health camps would be held at all block offices for issuing disability certificates to differently-abled persons.

The DC asked all Mukhiyas and Panchayat Secretaries to declare panchayat buildings no-tobacco zones and spread mass awareness.
