Jamshedpur: Deputy commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar has directed officials of various departments to achieve targets so as to ensure higher ranking of the district based on key performance indicators.
Addressing a meeting of various department representatives, the DC said the targets set for different departments should be achieved within deadline. He said the performance of various districts will be evaluated on the basis of certain key result areas and key performance indicators.
The DC reviewed progress on the various performance indicators set for the districts of Jharkhand for the process of evaluation of their overall performance.
The evaluation indicators include delayed payment under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), transfer of accounts from post office to banks, Aadhar seeding, illegal jamabandi, dakhal dihani, restoration of Adivasi land, installation of CCTV at checkposts and achieving revenue targets, sources said.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said all officials should discharge their tasks with full commitment so that the district may be counted as one among the top districts in the performance evaluation process.
Among others present at the meeting included the DDC, ADC, directors of NREP and DRDA and all technical officers.
