Jamshedpur: Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar directed the drinking water and electricity department officials to improve water and power supply in the deprived areas as soon as possible. He issued the orders during a review meeting held at the Jamshedpur Collectorate auditorium on Saturday.
The DC discussed various issues related to land, forest, electricity and water. He said the roadblocks hindering the Bagbera drinking water supply project should be removed as soon as possible.
He directed the electricity officials concerned to solve the power crisis affected a large population living in Chhota Govindpur within two days. He also directed the officials to start work on the 33,000 volt power sub-station in the area.
He said the trial of Bagbera drinking water supply project should be done on 1st August.
The DC further asked the Railway officials concerned to give No Objection Certificate to the department concerned for laying pipelines in Chhota Govindpur.
