Jamshedpur: Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi on Friday addressed citizens’ concerns during the Public Grievance Redressal Day held at the Collectorate, resolving several issues on the spot and directing officials to ensure swift action on pending cases.

Residents from urban and rural blocks of East Singhbhum district submitted applications related to a wide range of issues, including installation of hand pumps, land encroachment, mutation matters, road obstruction complaints, search for missing minors, land disputes, gun licence transfers, road construction, drain construction, widow pensions, and benefits under the Jharkhand Chief Minister’s Maiyan Samman Yojana. Applications seeking certificates for Jharkhand movement activists were also received.

Several grievances were addressed and resolved immediately during the session. For the remaining applications, the Deputy Commissioner issued clear instructions to concerned departments to ensure time-bound disposal. He stressed that petitions received during the grievance redressal programme must be accorded priority.

Satyarthi further directed departmental officers to regularly review public grievances and monitor progress to ensure timely and effective resolution of citizens’ problems.

The Public Grievance Redressal Day once again highlighted the district administration’s focus on responsive governance and efficient public service delivery, providing citizens with a direct platform to raise issues and seek prompt redressal.
