Jamshedpur, January 16: Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi on Friday inspected the DM Library at Sakchi and reviewed the progress of construction and available facilities. During the inspection, he directed the Deputy Municipal Commissioner of JNAC to ensure that the library becomes fully operational by February 25, 2026.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised that the DM Library should emerge as a key knowledge and study hub for students, competitive examination aspirants and general readers. He instructed officials to ensure that all essential facilities are put in place before the opening, including adequate seating arrangements, desks and benches, sufficient reading materials, proper lighting, drinking water, toilets and overall cleanliness.
Satyarthi stressed the need to complete all preparations within the stipulated timeframe to ensure smooth, systematic and disciplined functioning of the library. He underlined the importance of making the facility accessible to the public at the earliest so that the local community can benefit from it.
The initiative is expected to provide residents of Jamshedpur with a modern, well-equipped and accessible space for reading, research and learning, strengthening educational infrastructure in the city.
