Chaibasa, August 11: Deputy Commissioner Abu Bakar Siddique held a district level review meeting on Indira Awas , SEDC bill , Forest Land Patta under forest rights, Panchayti Raj with BDOs, BPOs and circle officer at the DC office on Tuesday .
While taking stock of the situation of MNREGA works, DC found gross in the completion of MNREGA works in the block level.
The district level target was to spend 29 crore 38 lakh rupees during the financial year 2014 to 2015 until 11th July whereas a total of 15 crore 70 lakh have been spent until now. The job creation target was to achieve 13 lakh 24 thousands but the district could create only 6 lakh 85 thousand jobs.
In a yearly review Chaibasa and Gudri Block have respectively achieved satisfactorily 80.05 per cent and 89. 02 per cent progress. whereas Tonto 10. 19 per cent and Hatgamharia 15. 95 per cent have the poorest performance in the financial year until 11th July.
As many as 9 Blocks of the District have an average of 40 per cent progress treated as poorest in the District. The Deputy commissioner has issued show cause notice to the BDOs and BPOs include Chakradharpur, Kumar Dungi, Monoharpur, Manjhgaon, Goelkera,Sonua, Tantnagar Hatgmaharia and Tonto blocks.
The expenditure of minimum 2 lakh has to be spent in MNREGA by Rojgar Sevak every Months . The Rojgar Sevak those who could not spent 2 lakh has been issued show cause by DC . In the meeting DC found 16 Panchayets where not a single penny work has been done .
Deputy commissioner decided to remove these Rojgar Sevak with immediate effect . Indira Awas target was to build 2470 by paying the amount in three phases wheras 2270 Indira Awas beneficiary were paid first instalment and 730 second and only 8 Indira awas beneficiary were given final amount.
Deputy Commissioner also directed private finance citfund or any other nature of private finance company to get registered with SEBI and RBI .
If not then the administration will take appropriate step against such companies. The present among others were DDC Anil Kumar Roy, District Planning officer JJ Benjamin , Trainee IAS Yukta Sahay BDOs, BPOs, Circle officers and CDPOs of all 18 Blocks.
