During this, he visited the stalls of artwork and products made by craftsmen, artists and Sakhi Didis and encouraged them.

The craftsmen, artists and Sakhi Didis of the district expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister, Jharkhand Hemant Soren regarding ‘Vishwakarma Point’.

In ‘Vishwakarma Point’, musical instruments, crafts, artefacts made by skilled craftsmen of the district as well as items of daily needs made/produced by Sakhi Didis will be sold.

Deputy Commissioner said that the state government is sensitive towards the social and economic upliftment of craftsmen and artists. He said that due to lack of proper platform, the goods manufactured by local craftsmen and Sakhi Didis were not able to come in the market.

The district administration is trying to provide necessary support in giving recognition to the art that people have been engaged in preserving and promoting for generations so that they can display their products and make it available to the people.

This initiative has been taken by the district administration as per the guidelines of the state government towards empowerment of local craftsmen.
