Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar inaugurated Swachhata Hi Seva campaign in Mango on Thursday. He said Mango had secured 20th place all over the country in Swachhata Sarvekshan 2018 despite having limited resources. In Jharkhand, Mango stood second, leaving behind JNAC, he added.
The DC said the contributions of Mango residents in Swachhata campaign were laudable. He said all officials, staff, Swachhata brand ambassadors, membes of QRT teams, cleanliness workers and other stakeholders were praiseworthy for their good work.
The Swachhata Hi Seva campaign started in Mango Post Office Road, Kali Bari, Baikunth Nagar, Gaur Basti and Sunday weekly market. Local residents were made aware of the need to keep their surroundings clean. They were also asked to maintain hygiene to keep various diseases at bay.
