Seraikela: The District Level Consultancy Committee of Seraikela-Kharsawan convened a meeting on Saturday. The meeting was presided over by the deputy commissioner Hansraj Singh. A review of district credit plan was conducted by the DC.
The credit deposit ratio of the district is 57 per cent at present. The ratio of various banks is behind the target. These banks include Punjab National Bank, Bank of India, Bank of Allahabad, Syndicate Bank, Axis Bank, IDBI Bank, ICICI Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce, sources said.
The target set for agriculture sector was achieved by the Bank of India. Other banks failed to achieve the target. The banks were asked to give Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to a total of 31,100 farmers.
The meeting was also attended by the deputy development commissioner (DDC) Raymond Kerketta, project director Bhishma Kumar and other officials of the district administration.
