Jamshedpur, Dec 5: Ahead of President Pranab Mukherjee�s visit to the Steel City on December 28, DC Dr. Amitabh Kaushal held a meeting with the administration officials for high level security in Jamshedpur.
The meeting also focused on the President�s accommodation, roads, street light, the venue of program, security and other facilities to be accorded to the President of the country.
It may be noted that President Pranab Mukherjee will be visiting Jamshedpur as the chief guest at Nikhil Bharat Bang SahityaSammelan. According to reports part of the program will be held atDhalbhum Club in Sakchi while the main event will be held at Tata Auditorium in XLRI.
DC Dr. Amitabh Kaushal said that till date the administration has not received any detail schedule for President�s visit and after getting the information from Ranchi, furtherdiscussions and arrangements will be made. The administration has already started taking appropriate measures at the possible venue for the event.
The meeting also discussed to make the Circuit House area better, to beautify roads, divider, street lights and security at Sonari Airportehere the President will arrive.
Considering the President�s overnight stay at the circuit house, the maintenance and beautification of the circuit house has already been started by the PWD department.
Approximately Rs 70 lakh would be spend on the maintenance work and the responsibility has been given to PWD (Building) who will take up the the lighting, park, roads that the President may cross.
After the meeting, DC Dr. Amitabh Kaushal visited XLRI campus and the auditorium area. The meeting was attended by the DC along with SSP Amol V Homkar, City SP Karthik S, XLRI Director, representatives of corporate houses.
