Jamshedpur, Sept 16: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla gave prizes to the winners of Kolhan Divisional Chief Minister Invitation Cup Football Tournament on Monday. He felicitated the coach and captain of the girls and boys teams of East Singhbhum.
The matches were played at Arjun Stadium of Seraikela-Kharsawan. The girls team of East Singhbhum defeated the West Singhbhum team with 4-1 in a tie-braker. The boys team of East Singhbhum suffered defeat in the hands of Seraikela-Kharsawan team with a score of 3-4 in a tie-breaker.
The DC congratulated both teams and asked the players to give their best in every match. He said it is not necessary for the youths to choose medicine, engineering and civil services as their career option. The youths can also make a lucrative career in sports, he said.
