DC and SSP lead final checks on venues and routes to prepare for President Droupadi Murmu’s Jamshedpur visit

Jamshedpur: The district administration has gone into full preparedness mode ahead of the scheduled visit of President Droupadi Murmu to Jamshedpur on December 29, 2025. In view of the high-profile visit, District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi and Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey jointly conducted an extensive inspection of the programme venue at Jaher Sthal, Karandih, the airport premises, and the proposed route line, issuing detailed instructions to ensure flawless arrangements.

The Deputy Commissioner directed that all preparations be completed within the stipulated timeframe and strictly in accordance with the security protocol of the President, emphasizing that security, dignity, discipline, and coordination must be maintained at every level. The inspection was carried out in the presence of senior officials, including the Deputy Development Commissioner, City Superintendent of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Civil Surgeon, District Transport Officer, Deputy Municipal Commissioner of JNAC, District Public Relations Officer, and officers from the electricity, fire, health, municipal, and other concerned departments.

Giving top priority to security, Satyarthi instructed the police administration to ensure foolproof arrangements, including proper deployment of forces, barricading, route line clearance, parking management, and traffic regulation as per Presidential protocol. He stressed the need for seamless coordination among all agencies to prevent any disruption during the President’s arrival, movement, and programme.

Special directions were issued regarding airport arrangements, with instructions to complete all arrival and departure formalities strictly as per the guidelines of the President’s Secretariat and security agencies. During the route line inspection, the district administration focused on road conditions, cleanliness, illumination, signage, emergency response readiness, and smooth vehicular movement.

At the Jaher Sthal venue, officials were instructed to ensure adequate arrangements for seating, electricity, drinking water, sanitation, fire safety, medical facilities, and emergency management. The Deputy Commissioner made it clear that no lapse would be tolerated and that all arrangements must meet the highest standards befitting a Presidential visit.

Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey said, “Comprehensive security measures are being put in place and reviewed at every level. The police administration is fully prepared to ensure that the President’s visit is conducted in a secure, orderly, and dignified manner, in close coordination with all concerned departments.”
