Jamshedpur: Central Durga Puja Committee organized a Vijaya Milan function at Utkal Association, Sakchi. Various Durga Puja committees of the city were felicitated on the occasion. The chief guest of the occasion was East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar while the special guest was SSP Jamshedpur Anoop Birtharay.
Telco Sabuj Kalyan Sangh received the prize for the most disciplined puja committee. Swachhata prize was given to Agrico Sarvajanin Durga Puja committee while woman empowerment prize was given to Sonari Suchitra Apartment Durga Puja Committeee. Sakchi Shiv Mandir Durga Puja Committee was given prize for timely immersion of idols.
Jamshedpur Durga Bari Sarvajanik Durga Puja Committee, Sakchi, and Jamshedpur Durga Puja Committee, Q Road, Bistupur, were felicitated for organizing centenary Durga Puja.
Among those present on the occasion included Central Durga Puja Committee general secretary Ram Babu Singh, Bimal Ray, Arun Singh, CN Banerjee, Ashutosh Singh and Sanjay Sinha.
