DC Amit Kumar flags off Swachhata App vans

Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amit Kumar flagged off two publicity vehicles for ensuring maximum download of Swachhata App at the District Collectorate on Tuesday.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion, Kumar said the purpose of sending the vehicles for publicity of Swachhata App was to ensure that more and more people come to know about it and download it through their smart phones. He said the event was a part of Jharkhands statehood day fortnight celebrations.

Any citizen living in Jamshedpur can download the Swachhata App and share complaints or information regarding cleanliness in and around their neighbourhood with the authorities concerned. District administration will promptly press into service vehicles to set cleanliness benchmarks at all places, said the DC.

The DC said the Swachhata Sarvekshan (survey) was soon going to be organized and the participation of the people is must to ensure the city tops the list of performers. He said at least 10,000 people would be asked to download the App in one day.
Kumar said the campaign was mainly meant for the urban areas. Encouraging results are expected from the campaign, he said.
