Jamshedpur, Feb 4: On the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Puja, the DBMS English School organised Annual Bhajan contest on Tuesday, Feb 4 at the school premises.
Students of Std. II to Std. VIII participated in the contest which comprised of group and solo performances. The participants sang exceptionally well and invoked the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.
The contest was inaugurated by the members of the School Managing Committee, Principal and Vice-Principal.
The judges for the occasion were Manas Bhattacharjee, a renowned music composer and Mrs. Rita Singh, Hindi Singing Teacher of R.V.S. Academy.
The contest was witnessed by parents and students. The results were declared soon after the performance were in Group performance students of class 2 were crowned the winner along with class 5, class 6 and Mixed Group.
In the Solo performance held in Junior category saw Anushree Chakravarty of 3 A crowned first, Debanjan Roy of 2 C second while Venkatesh Mishra of 6A third.
In senior category Kaustbh Bagchi of 8 B crowned first, Madhumallika Mazumdar of 7E second while Tiasa Dasgupta of 8 A was third for the event.
