Jamshedpur, March 8: Newly built state-of-the-art basketball court was inaugurated at DBMS Kadma High School on Tuesday, March 8.
Chief Guest for the occasion Asok Kumar, former executive member of Basketball Federation of India opened the facility
First of its kind in the Steel City-the basketball court boasts of polypropylene interlocking tiled floor which reduces sprain and strain and have anti-skid property.
The court has been made with the aim of providing the students with better sports environment and to improve their expertise in the game, informed Gurpreet Bhambra, Principal, DBMS Kadma High School.

The inauguration was also graced by Ashish Kumar, Head Sports, Tata Steel, Harbhajan Singh, Shanta Ashok Kumar, Bhanumathi Neelkantan (Chairperson), B Chandrashekhar (Jt. Chairperson, Finance BOT) Lalitha Chandrashekhar (Jt. Chairperson, Administration – BOT), members of the managing committee, Principal, Vice Principals, teachers and other distinguished guests.
Later, an exhibition match was played between the students of D.B.M.S English School and D.B.M.S. Kadma High School at the new court.
An Inter-house match was also played and all the participants were given certificates of participation.
