DBMS English School Wins 35th Seuli Seal Memorial Inter-School Quiz; Little Flower School Finishes Second

Jamshedpur, Nov 7: D.B.M.S. English School hosted the 35th Inter-School Seuli Seal Memorial Quiz Contest on November 7, in loving memory of Seuli Seal, a former student of the school who passed away on March 3, 1989. The event, held annually, continues to honor her legacy by promoting learning and curiosity among young students.

This year’s quiz was conducted by Samanway Banerjee, a renowned national-level quizmaster who has hosted over 500 quizzes across schools, colleges, and corporate platforms. The competition was open to students of Classes V, VI, and VII and saw participation from 25 schools in the preliminary round. After a close contest, six teams advanced to the finals — Loyola School, DBMS English School, Sacred Heart Convent School, Little Flower School, Kerala Public School (Kadma), and SDSM School for Excellence.

The final round consisted of six challenging and engaging segments covering a wide range of subjects. Participants showcased sharp thinking and teamwork in a highly competitive yet entertaining atmosphere.

In the end, DBMS English School emerged victorious with 180 points, while Little Flower School secured the second place with 100 points, followed by SDSM School for Excellence in third place with 80 points.

The event was attended by members of the School Management Committee, Principal  Rajani Shekhar, Vice-Principal P.K. Sahu, and Rekha Seal, mother of late Seuli Seal, whose guidance and encouragement have kept this tradition alive.

The quiz proved to be a perfect blend of learning and fun, leaving the audience inspired and enriched.
